    • This listening practice focuses on "summary, form completion" question type in the IELTS. Here are some tips for you:

      1. Be sure about the number of words you are allowed to fill in the blanks
      2. Predict the answers: Should the gap be filled with a verb, noun, adjective or adverb? If your answer makes the sentence grammatically wrong, then you have the wrong answer.
      3. Listen for synonyms and paraphrases in the recordings rather than words that directly match

      What variations are there on this task type?
      1. a form: often used to record factual details such as names. 
      2. a set of notes: used to summarise any type of information using the layout to show how different items relate to one another.  
      3. a table: used as a way of summarising information which relates to clear categories - e.g. place/time/price.  
      4. a flow-chart: used to summarise a process which has clear stages. The direction of the process is shown by arrows.

    • 3.4 Pronouncing -s endings: 

       

       

    • Record a video to answer one of the questions below. Your video length should be around 2-3 minutes. Whenever you pronounce a word that has -s ending, remember to pronounce the ending sound correctly.

      1. Do you think protecting the planet is a critical concern of Vietnamese young generation nowadays? Explain your answer and give authentic examples.
      2. Name one practical action that you yourself could do to protect the planet. How would you do it? Explain your steps.
      3. Pick one of the current human actions on the planet and talk about its future consequences.
