As I'm climbing up the cage, I squeak and bite the bars. I usually do this to attract my owner's attention. She is over there across the room, but I'm making sure she will hear me.
*Squeak squeak*
Nope. She doesn't turn around. Still, I like looking at her black short pony tail from behind. It's cute, though not as cute as my little furry tail. She's probably focusing on her final exam revision...or she may be drawing something. Those are only 2 things she usually does at her desk - study and draw. . Damn, she loves using pencils and colors to paint her imagination. She sometimes listens to music, and dances along, but nothing makes her more excited, as I've been observing, than fueling her creativity on papers and canvas. She seems to have mood swings pretty often lately. Maybe being close to 21 just hits her hard. Maybe she just feels a bit lost looking at her future and all of the big plans she's made, unsure when them all being achieved.
I climb down and curl myself up in the small ceramic house she bought for me thinking "Better not interrupt her". I know later, when she's finished, she will be coming to me, petting me, feeding me and playing with me. She has a pretty big heart for animals, especially cute little pet like me.
So as a hamster, I'd better be cute and that's pretty much the best thing I can give to my special owner.
