In my teaching speaking, chantting is the one that I like best because it is easy for pupils remember vocabulary and structure at primary school.
I. Objective: Helps pupils remember vocabulary and structure, improve pronunciation. Pupils will garner the confidence to speak
II. Time: 5 - 7 minutes
III. Teaching aids: poster, recorder,
IV. Procedure:
1. Hang up the poster/ write the chant on the board.
2. Play the tape, pupils listen twice.
3. Pupils listen and repeat one by one sentence.( twice or three times)
4. Divide class into 2 groups, one reads question, one read the answer and then swap their roles.
5. Chant in pairs.
5. Whole class chant and clap theis hands.
