Without it, a lot of the technology we take for granted—like text-to-speech programs, machine translation, and voice recognition—would be far less sophisticated or maybe nonexistent. This would impact information availability, worldwide communication, and people's capacity to use natural language while interacting with technology.
Without computational linguistics, it would be far more difficult to handle and evaluate the enormous volumes of textual data created daily. The advancement of sentiment analysis, search engines, and other data-driven technologies that depend on comprehending and interpreting human language would be hampered by this.
Without computational linguistics' ability to interpret natural language, tools like screen readers and communication assistance for people with impairments would be less useful.
It would be difficult for automated support systems to deliver effective services.

Since natural language comprehension is an essential component of many AI systems, the area of artificial intelligence would be greatly impacted. Artificial intelligence may find it difficult to correctly produce, understand, and react to human language without computational linguistics.
Large text corpora would be challenging for linguistic study, restricted to manual analysis. This would impede the advancement of linguistic findings and the comprehension of language usage and patterns on a broad scale.
Companies that use chatbots, automated assistance systems, and language-based technology for customer care, would find it difficult to deliver effective services.

It's an interesting question, Ms. Hạnh! If there wasn't computational linguistics (CL), we would consider the study of ancient languages every time we thought about linguistics. We could not easily study the relationships among linguistics, and the lessons they might impact on our understanding of human society.

Without computational linguistics, the rapid advancements in natural language processing technologies that we rely on daily would not exist. This would hinder the development of efficient machine translation systems, making global communication more challenging and less accessible. Tasks like automated text analysis, sentiment analysis, and speech recognition would be significantly less accurate, reducing the effectiveness of digital assistants, search engines, and customer service bots. Overall, the absence of computational linguistics would impede the seamless interaction between humans and machines, limiting the potential for innovation and connectivity in our increasingly digital world.

Without computational linguistics, many modern technologies we rely on would not exist or be far less effective. Translation between languages would be slower and more prone to errors, making global communication and business more challenging. Automated customer service tools like chatbots and virtual assistants would not function as efficiently, leading to longer wait times and more human involvement. Search engines would struggle to understand user queries, resulting in less accurate search results. Analyzing large amounts of text data, such as customer feedback or social media trends, would become a time-consuming task, slowing down decision-making processes in industries.
