Of all the speaking activities, I like the role - play activity most. It is fun and motivating, it also helps quieter students to have a chance to express themselves.

Step:

- Brainstorm what to focus on the role- play activity.

- Ask students to work in pairs, one student acts as a journalist and the other will be a president or a singer or a millionaire ...

- Set the time for students to speak, teacher walks around and offers comments or advice at the end.

- Invite some pairs to perform in front of the class.

- Other students and teacher give comments.
